What is an FHSZ?
A Fire Hazard Severity Zone is CAL FIRE's science-based classification of how exposed your parcel is to wildfire — based on fuel, terrain, weather, and fire history. It's a hazard rating, not a probability.
Why it matters for your claim
Insurers know your zone before you do. They price, underwrite, and adjust claims differently in High and Very High zones. Smoke residue, ALE, code-upgrade, and matching disputes are far more common in these areas — and often resolved in the homeowner's favor when properly documented.
What we'll do for you
Free 15-minute call. Jordan reviews your zone, your carrier, and any open or denied claim. If there's value he can recover, he tells you how he'd approach it. If there isn't, he tells you that too. No pressure, no obligation.
