This website is operated by Jordan L. Eller, a California-licensed Public Adjuster (CA Public Adjuster License #2M45606; Individual License #4005444), doing business as SOS Public Adjusters. SOS Public Adjusters is a DBA of SOS Environmental, LLC. The content on this site is for general information only. It is not legal, financial, or tax advice and it does not create a public adjuster–client relationship.

2. Who can use this site

You must be at least 18 years old to use this site. By using the site, you confirm you are 18 or older and that all information you submit is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

3. The information you submit

You are responsible for the accuracy of any information you submit through this site, including details about a property, a loss, or an insurance policy. Submitting false or misleading information may affect our ability to help you and may have legal consequences.

4. Fees and engagement

Public adjuster services are typically performed on a contingency-fee basis under a written contract approved by the California Department of Insurance. The fee percentage and the scope of work are set in that signed contract. No fee is owed for a free consultation or claim review.

The phrase "no fee unless the carrier pays you" describes contingency-fee engagement in general. The exact fee structure for your engagement is set in your signed contract before any work begins.

5. No insurance advice without engagement

Information on this site, including articles, tools, the Fire Risk Score lookup, and any free educational content, is provided for general informational purposes. It does not constitute insurance advice, legal advice, or a guarantee of any outcome. Decisions about your insurance policy or your claim should be made based on the specifics of your situation. For advice on your specific claim, please contact us to schedule a consultation.

6. Solicitation rules

Jordan L. Eller and SOS Public Adjusters comply with California rules on public adjuster solicitation, including California Insurance Code §§ 15027 and 15027.1, and 10 California Code of Regulations § 2691.17. We do not solicit at the scene of a loss while emergency personnel are present. We limit in-person and telephone solicitation to the hours of 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. We do not solicit residential property engagements within an area subject to an active catastrophic-disaster declaration until the statutory waiting period has run, except when the policyholder initiates contact with us first.

7. Tools and third-party data

The Fire Risk Score lookup and other tools on this site display information from third-party sources, including the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE). We make a reasonable effort to provide accurate results, but we cannot guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any third-party data. Always verify with the source before making decisions that depend on the result.

8. Intellectual property

The content on this site, including text, images, logos, code, and tools, is owned by Jordan L. Eller, SOS Environmental, LLC, or our licensors. You may view and share content for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, redistribute, or use the content for commercial purposes without prior written permission.

9. Links to third-party sites

This site includes links to other websites (such as the California Department of Insurance, CAL FIRE, and county assessor portals). We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or accuracy.

10. Disclaimers

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by California law, Jordan L. Eller, SOS Environmental, LLC, and SOS Public Adjusters are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of this site. Our total liability for any claim arising out of your use of this site is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) $100.

13. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the site will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Ventura County, California, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will be noted on the website.

15. Severability

If any part of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, the rest will remain in effect.
